THE PROJECT
The project started with experimenting with fun camera angles with a photo camera. That gave me the chance to discover the opportunities and find out. Which angles would work the best for the uncanny feeling I wanted to put into the film.
After discovering the possibilities, I went back to this playground with a film camera. My vision was to start small and set the scene by showing how nasty this place is. For that, I filmed different pieces of litter. From there I wanted to confuse the watcher. I give them the feeling that they are entering a place by showing the different small tunnels. And by showing A lot of different tunnels I tried to disorient the viewer, and with that give them an uncanny feeling. Only at the end I show the viewer the playground where this all took place. After filming everything. I had to color correct the footage and add some more sounds. By adding some sounds of which you do not know where it is coming from. That adds to the uncanny feeling.
